Tips on How to Make an Impression on a Girl During Your First Date

January 20, 2019 by Ian Leave a Comment

If you’re planning to ask a girl out, it’s just right that you always put your best foot forward to impress the girl of your dreams. If you don’t have any idea of where to begin, here are some useful tips that you need to keep in mind if you want to score a second or even succeeding dates.

Just act normal and be yourself

Girls can sense it if you’re nervous and pretending to be someone that you’re not. It is better to be true to yourself for your date to accept you for who you truly are. You don’t need to book a date at a fancy restaurant if it’s not within your budget. You don’t need to rent a limousine or wear a tux and show up on the doorstep with plans to sweep her off her feet. Just lay down all your cards, casually ask her out and bring her to one of the many great Upper West Side restaurants and make sure that she will enjoy the excellent food that’s about to be served.

Communicate well

When setting up a date, don’t invite the girl by texting her. It’s a big no-no for you to do that. Pick up your manners and ask her face to face if she wants to go out on a date with you.

If she agrees to go with you, make sure to keep your mobile phone in silent mode or better yet turn it off. Avoid texting and taking incoming calls and other forms of distraction while in the middle of dinner or a movie because it will kill off any romantic mood and there’s a big chance that there won’t be any more dates in the future.

Be the early bird

Whether you’re picking up your date or meeting her at the venue, it’s always essential that you arrive earlier than the agreed time. Being an early bird makes a difference rather than make your date wait for you which is a turn off, unless of course there’s an emergency.

Keep your conversation light and funny

Every girl loves a guy who’s witty and has a perfect sense of humor. It’s okay to share funny stories on your first date as long as you know your boundaries. Avoid sarcastic and potentially-offensive jokes unless you want your partner to leave right off the bat. If you’re going to share a meaningful conversation, you better stick to general and safe topics such as food, movies, travel, and hobbies to ensure that both of you will enjoy the date. Steer clear of conversations about religion and politics to prevent conflicts and arguments which of course is not good during first dates.

You can gradually adjust your topics after a few more dates. It also depends on how comfortable you are sharing more personal or intimate information with the person that you are currently dating. Impressing a girl on your first date is not that hard. All you need to do is stay true to yourself , and the rest will follow.
