About Me
I'm happily married to a beautiful woman who happens also to be a wonderful wife and mother. Together we have four handsome young boys. And, no . . . we're not planning on trying again for a girl. I've had an incredible life so far. I've had some great highs. Still I find that it's the little things from which I derive the most pleasure. Some of my favorite things: "Daddy's home!!!!" . . . Wrastlin' on the living room floor with my boys . . . tucking them into bed each night . . . settling in on the couch with my honey after a long day . . . lunch with friends . . . turning on the radio to a familiar old favorite . . . time spent back home in Michigan with family . . . a long, lazy day at the beach . . . a good book . . . a jumbo tub of popcorn with butter . . . a good glass of wine . . . a frosty mug of lager . . . dinner parties . . . running into an old buddy . . . etc. . . . etc. . . Currently, we're living in the Tulsa area. Hopefully, in the not-so-distant future, we'll be moving either back home near the sandy shores of Lake Michigan or to some other idyllic location near beaches or mountains. For now, though, I make the most of where I'm at and the relationships I have. Not everyday is sunshine and roses. But, I never find I'm in a place where I can't find something to smile about.

I sell very high-end residential and commercial architectural products in Tulsa, OK.
Favorite Music
I like some of the newer stuff that's out, but I couldn't identify most of the groups. The Black-eyed Peas are fun. Mostly I stick to the oldies. Some favorites: Van Morrison, Ray Charles, Willie Nelson, Stones, Tom Petty, Grand Funk, BTO, Van Halen, etc. Recent downloads included Dobie Gray, Otis Redding, Hothouse Flowers, The Commitments, Procul Harum, Percy Sledge, etc.
Favorite Shows & Movies
Recent favorites are Wedding Crashers, A Mighty Wind, Best in Show, Napoleon Dynamite. Old fav's - When Harry Met Sally (Chick flick, but some of Billy Crystal's best lines ever) - Some Girls (Hard to find, but worth watching. Quirky, funny with great story line and incredible scenery) - Saving Private Ryan, Schindler's List (Both give me the chills). I really like movies that are a bit off the beaten path and funny in a weird sort of way. Pumpkin and Lisa Picard is Famous are good examples. TV - Love 24, The Office, ER. Gray's Anatomy is growing tired. Sick to death of CSI / investigative type shows. I will admit to getting sucked into some of the reality shows. My boys are big Survivor and American Idol fans, and I love to watch with them. Never get tired of Sienfeld re-runs, and I'll watch football anytime, anywhere.
Favorite Books
The Bible. Lots of non-fiction political & theology stuff (not preacher books so much). History. Can't read Vonnegut without cracking up. I love that man's twisted sense of humor. Hemmingway -- especially his short stories.
Interests
I love the outdoors -- beaches, hiking, camping, shooting, canoeing, etc. College Football -- especially Michigan, Big Ten. Music, reading, movies. Exercise -- I prefer playing sports (e.g. basketball, flag football), but I do force myself to the gym on a pretty regular basis. Politics. Cooking, eating, entertaining. I'm very active in my church and with the friends I have there. Anything to do with family -- A day spent just hanging with the boys is a day well spent.
