January 17, 2021 by Ian Leave a Comment

Italians are known for their sense of fashion, and they are considered world leaders in this respect due to their names’ presence in the fashion industry. Boasting Dolce & Gabbana and Versace, not to mention several haute couture brands with Italian names, Italian fashion is renowned both at home and abroad. But their sense of style isn’t limited to fashion, and Canadians are in awe of their taste when it comes to interior design. Italians have a reputation for being very good at showcasing their artistry in furniture – which has led to so many furniture store in Montreal. Their sense of interior design extends beyond graffiti art and into the world of architecture and design. Let’s dive into the many reasons why Italians are better at many things that Canadians love and appreciate.

1. Fashion:

It’s no secret that Italians have a sense of style that is unrivaled by any other people in the world. Famed for being a country full of faces on the runway and models in the glossies, Italy is a fashion-obsessed nation, and one look at the Italian runways instantly makes that much clear. Not only are Italian models the most coveted and sought after at high-profile events, but their clothing is also top of mind when consumers shop for clothing items that improve their sense of style. Thanks to the accessibility of Italian-made fashions, readers are continually treated to an array of articles on Italian-made fashions and the latest trends in clothing items that stand out in both the Italian runways as well as those in Canada and the USA. Additionally, the Italian sense of fashion has also been seen in residential and commercial spaces throughout London, which has been influenced by Italian culture.

2. Interior design:

Italy is renowned as the number one country when it comes to interior design, and multiple sources have extolled the Italian sense of interior design, with one individual famously saying that “Style isn’t just about the furniture and the colors that you use. It’s about the light, where you put the bathroom, the light coming in from the window.” Not only are there many interior designers in Montreal that are inspired by the Italian sense of interior design, but there are also many furniture stores in Montreal that are inspired by the Italian sense of taste as well. Perhaps the most well-known of the Italian designers of furniture is Peruzzi, which has come to be known as one of the oldest and most respected companies of furniture in the world today.

3. Gelato:

Gelato is one of Italy’s most well-known and beloved desserts, and this tasty treat has come to serve as one of the world’s most noteworthy and appreciated desserts. This frozen treat has come to be a gorgeous and welcoming replica of the Italian culture itself, with its distinct and unique flavor a reflection of society itself. This dessert has come to be valued and enjoyed by people of all walks of life, including those in Canada. The Italian sense of creativity and style has extended to their gelato shops around the world, and they are also known for their affogato, which is another popular dessert in Italy.

4. Architecture:

One of the most notable aspects of Italy is its rich heritage of architectural achievements and, despite the fact that the prominence of Italy has diminished over the years, their built environment is something that cannot be denied. Many buildings and monuments have been inspired by the great cathedrals and structures of Italy, and many have been moved and transported to other continents.

Conclusion:

Italy has not only been a part of Montreal’s culture, but it has also been a part of the culture all around the world. Montreal has been no stranger to the influence that Italy has had on society, and their many businesses and brands have helped to influence one another for decades. From fashion to interior design to gelato and beyond, it is clear that Italy will continue to be an influential player on the world stage, especially in terms of design.
