CBD concentrate can be used in more ways than just a CBD oil. The hemp plant extract is incredibly versatile and can be made into many CBD products. From creating a CBD soft drink to developing CBD dabs or CBD shatter, the CBD products you develop are only limited by your imagination. To create a quality product and provide great service to CBD customers, there are a few things to keep in mind first.
Working with Regulations
If you’re creating a product from CBD concentrate, you need to think beyond just taste and flavor. Since the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is still looking into the viability of CBD for retailers, it’s important to make sure you’re regulating your manufacturing products. The best way is to follow every regulation to a “T.” Since cannabinoids like THC are still illegal in many states, it’s likely that CBD wholesalers and manufacturers will still experience similar scrutiny. Even though no THC gets into CBD during the extraction process, there are still isolate products, especially those with a high concentration of CBD, that are harder to sell than others.
This also extends to your sales and customer service. Never sell CBD isolate to individuals under 21 years of age. If you’re part of a national network for wholesalers, you may be able to rely on a network of industry expertise. If you’re partnered with a beverage distributor to create a CBD soft drink, there may be additional rules and regulations you need to follow. Also, when you list product information, you need to ensure you account for every small detail, even if you don’t think it’s important. By being transparent and providing customers with extra information, you’re less likely to experience pushback from the FDA.
Consider Your Selection
Do you want to offer a huge selection of CBD products or do you want to specialize in a certain niche? For instance, while you could sell CBD isolate, CBD shatter, pure hemp oil extract, and CBD tinctures, you could also choose to focus strictly on CBD dabs. You could limit your products to a dab rig, dab pen, and CBD and hemp dabs. Or, instead, you could choose to offer a wider variety of cannabinoids and position yourself as a jack of all trades.
On top of that, you can focus on specific markets and audiences. Do you want to provide a pain relief alternative to buyers who use prescription medications to manage chronic pain? Do you want to work with a beer distributor to create a drink with the flavor of CBD that you can distribute to breweries? Or, do you want to create a hot chili flavor or CBD oil that you can market to buyers who are interested in cooking with CBD?
If you don’t want to, you don’t have to limit yourself but it can be an effective way for you to break into your chosen market. Some of the best CBD concentrate brands are focused on one specific niche but others are able to sell a wide variety of CBD hemp oil concentrates without too many problems. It all depends on your distribution network and your overall CBD business plan. Retailers often see success with this strategy.
Developing CBD products can be a worthwhile endeavor but it takes time, preparation, and a great deal of research. While CBD becomes more and more widely accepted across the United States, it seems that CBD oil is only growing in popularity. From creating a CBD shatter with the highest concentration of CBD that is legally possible to developing your own kegs of CBD soft drinks, there are plenty of ways to break into the industry. All it takes is some creativity and flexibility to get started.
