A Complete Guide to Planning a Trip to Disney World travel

May 27, 2021 by Ian Leave a Comment

In 2019, the total number of people that visited a Disney park worldwide was 155,991 million. Since you’re reading this, we know you intend to join the millions of others that visit the park with their families to enjoy one of the most magical places on Earth.

Before you take your trip to Disney World, you have to do a significant amount of planning. Below we’ve created a brief guide that will help you plan your Disney World vacation and have the trip that you’d always imagined you’d have.

Decide When You’ll Visit

When you think of visiting Disney World or places like it, the first thing you think of is when is the right time to visit. You want to visit during a season when it’s optimal to be outdoors without having to worry about standing in lines for long periods because of other park visitors.

We recommend that you take a chance to review the when to visit and when not to calendar that’s available for visitors on the Disney World site. Also, depending on which park you intend to visit, it’s best that you look up the holidays and schedules of the schools in the area.

If you go during the time of a holiday or school break, it’s likely that the number of people at the park will increase dramatically than if you visited during a regular weekend or weekday.

Purchase Your Tickets

Disney World offers a variety of ticket options for people that are visiting the parks. You can get a single-day pass or opt for the pass that gives you access to the parks for multiple days.

It’s recommended that you get tickets for a multiple-day visit because, in the long run, it’s going to cost you much less than if you purchased a single-day pass. When you’re purchasing your tickets, you should also consider getting fast passes if you’re not fond of waiting in line.

A fast pass will allow you and your children to skip the lines and enjoy the rides much sooner than if you waited like everyone else.

Book Your Hotel

Some people who visit Disney know that the only place to stay is in one of the many themed hotels. However, something worth noting is the prices of accommodations have increased.

If you don’t mind paying the higher price, there are tons of enchanting amenities that you and your family will enjoy while staying in one of the many Disney hotels. If you’re looking to save some money, you can always opt to stay somewhere outside the grounds.

The area offers several hotels and beautiful beachfront properties that visitors can rent while they’re enjoying their visit. If you’re staying outside of Disney, one perk you have is not constantly being surrounded by others visiting the park.

If you decide you want to stay in one of the Disney hotels make sure to rent DVC points to use towards your stay. With these points you’re truly going to awaken the magic Disney has to offer.

And it’ll help you save money too.

Hire an Agent

If planning a family vacation has proven overwhelming and stressful, we recommend you hire a travel agent. The advantage of hiring a travel agent is they know how to uncover the best travel bundle deals for their clients.

They can find different discounts and packages that you can use for food or your hotel stay. You will have to pay to access travel agent services, but it’ll all be worth it when you’re enjoying yourself on one of the Disney rides.

Have a Schedule

When you visit the park, we want you to enjoy yourself, but there’s so much to do and see that it can get confusing without a schedule. For each day you’re at the park, you should have a schedule detailing what the day holds.

Map out which attractions you want to see each day and the order in which you’ll see them. Keep in mind that you might want to see 9 attractions, but you may only get to 5 of them due to other visitors.

We understand you want to see everything, but sometimes that’s not possible. A schedule will help you stay organized, but don’t become upset if you cannot do everything listed.

You’ve also got to take into account things like children and naptimes. As well as times when you may want to stop walking to attractions and grab a bite to ear before you continue through the park.

Get Packing

Now that you’ve taken care of purchasing your tickets and booking your accommodations, the next thing you’ve got to do is pack. If you’re going to visit during a winter month, take time to pack clothes that will keep you warm without causing you to be too warm.

Remember you’ll be walking the park most of the time anyway. If you’re going during the warmer months, stay hydrated and pack sunscreen.

If there’s one thing that can derail a fun vacation, it’s experiencing a painful sunburn. One thing you should always pack no matter what time of year you go is a supportive pair of walking shoes.

Planning a Trip to Disney World

When you plan your trip to Disney World, there are several things to do. First, you need to figure out when you want to visit the park and then move on to doing things like booking your hotel and purchasing tickets to enter the park.
